Business Development Role Mission:

We are seeking a motivated Business Development Assistant to support our Sales Director in expanding our digital footprint and exploring new business opportunities in Asia. This role is designed for a self-starter who excels in building relationships and strategic partnerships, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is keen to work with clients in Southeast Asia’s vibrant market.

Note: The Business Development Assistant role offers room for growth into a Business Development Manager role based on performance. Your success and effectiveness will drive your income potential with no limits—the more you achieve, the more you earn!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Right Hand to the Sales Director: Assist in executing growth strategies, managing operational tasks, and driving business development across the Asian market.
  • Identify and Develop New Business Opportunities: Research and connect with potential business partners and distributors to align with our growth goals.
  • Market Expansion and Client Relationship Building: Led the strategy for breaking into new markets, strengthening relationships, and expanding revenue streams in the flavour and fragrance sectors.
  • Complex Negotiation and Contract Management: Negotiate favourable terms with partners and clients to maximise business impact and support long-term growth.
  • Event Strategy and Execution: Plan and oversee events that highlight our unique value in the digital and sensory marketing space, fostering new connections with partners and distributors.
  • Creative Problem-Solving: Tackle challenges innovatively, ensuring successful entry into unfamiliar markets with thoughtful, strategic solutions.
  • Vendor and Contractor Management: Recruit and manage vendors to align partnerships with business goals, guaranteeing high-quality delivery.
  • Remote Work & Client Engagement: Work primarily from home with occasional in-person engagements, ensuring an ideal work-life balance alongside essential client meetings and project sessions.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • New Business Development: Drive growth by identifying and securing new business and partnerships.
  • Sales Growth & Market Penetration: Hit and exceed sales targets by expanding into key markets in Southeast Asia.
  • Event Execution and Partnership Building: Successfully manage events that align with our business goals, expanding the client network.
  • Vendor Management & Negotiation Success: Secure optimal deals with vendors and partners that support sustainable growth.

Skills and Attributes:

  • Business Development & Market Expansion: Proven success in developing partnerships and managing market growth.
  • Negotiation Expertise & Creative Problem-Solving: Exceptional negotiation skills and resourcefulness for overcoming challenges.
  • Strong Communication: Engaging, clear communicator with excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Organisational Skills & Tech-Savvy: Manage multiple projects effectively and leverage CRM tools for efficiency.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in business development, sales, or event management, ideally in international markets.
  • High-level English proficiency, strong presentation skills, and the ability to engage clients professionally.
  • Experience managing distributors, contractors, or vendors across multiple regions.
  • Flexibility for occasional travel to Southeast Asia to engage in high-level business development activities.
